V-Max Las Vegas

Group ride down the famous Las Vegas 'Strip' on Saturday night
October 4-6, 2002
This year we had about 17 Vmaxes show up for various scheduled events throughout the 3 day meet. Day one (Friday) included a ride to Red Rock Canyon, dinner at the Hard Rock Hotel/Casino, and some roller coaster action at the New York New York Hotel/Casino. Day two (Saturday) was a busy day starting at 8:00am with a ride to the Vegas Strip dragstrip for participation in the 2002 Airtech National Open motorcycle drags. We had 5 Vmaxes run in the event (see pics below) and an overhead show that day including appearances by the B2 stealth bomber and F117A stealth fighter! The evening started with dinner and event raffle at the Harley Davidson Cafe in the heart of the Vegas strip, then a group ride down the strip to 'Old Vegas' and the Freemont Street Experience, and concluded with a ride atop the 1200' Stratosphere on the 'Big Shot' thrill ride. Sunday included a breakfast buffet and trip to the Venetian Hotel/Casino for the outstanding Guggenheim 'Art of the Motorcycle' museum exhibit.
For all those who couldn't attend this event, you missed a good one. For all those who attended thanks for showing up and participating! We hope to do this event again next year and bring some hot Vmaxes to participate in the 2003 Airtech Nationals and win the Hot Rod Cruiser class. We'll be working with the NMRA (National Motorcycle Racing Association) to coordinate our efforts. Keep your eyes open for this event!
